Shear Kut Barber shop has been a mainstay in Downtown Lake Worth since 1976. At Shear Kut, we strive to provide an environment that is not only family friendly, but one that offers the highest quality barber services. Shear Kut is a modernized take on the “old school” barber shop, where our number one priority is our clients. 2016 marked 40 years in business in Lake Worth and now we are taking Shear Kut to the next level.

Jeff is the owner and head barber at Shear Kut Barbershop. Jeff was born in Long Beach, California and moved to South Florida at the age of 8 with his mother and two sisters.  After graduating highschool in 2001, Jeff worked with his stepfather building pools for 4 years. After 4 years of hard labor 6 days a week Jeff said to himself what many people have in the past, “there has to be another way”.  Given the fact that Jeff came from a long line of sylists and barbers in his family, it only made sense that he followed that path and graduated top of his class from the Florida Barber Academy.  Barbering became second nature to Jeff and he wanted to grasp a deeper understanding of the trade by collecting and seeking out antique barber tools to perfect his craft.  Through his pursuit of antique barber tools he met fellow barber and previous owner of Shear Kut, Franklin Reed. Mr. Reed and Jeff hit it off instantaneously and after joining Shear Kut, Jeff eventually bought the shop to continue its legacy as Downtown Lake Worth’s best barber shop.  Jeff has been operating Shear Kut for over 7 years now and has become well known and respected in the industry and community. Jeff has major plans in the works for Shear Kut in the future as it continues to grow.
